Star Ladies Dynamic Club Holds First Inaugural Event

It was a moment of joy and celebration on as members of the Star Ladies Dynamic Club held their first inaugural event and coaster bus fundraising campaign luncheon at the Classic Hall of Archbishop C.J. Patterson Auditorium, All Saints Cathedral, Onitsha.

In her opening remarks, the Founder of the club, Chief Mrs. Nkiruka Duru , expressed gratitude to God for His continued guidance and protection over members of the association. She also gave a brief overview of the club’s objectives and activities since its establishment.

The Chairman of the occasion, Chief Tochukwu Paul Nzekwesi, who was represented by Engr. Valentine Agbata, commended the members of the Star Ladies Dynamic Club for their commitment and positive impact. He encouraged them to remain steadfast in their noble cause and uphold the values that distinguish the group.

In her welcome address, the President of the club, Amb. Phina Aligwo, appreciated all dignitaries and guests for gracing the event. She also outlined the club’s immediate need for a branded coaster bus to facilitate its outreach and humanitarian activities—hence, the reason for the fundraising campaign.

The Vice President, Hon. Mrs. Nwoye Chika, and the Treasurer, Mrs. Mmaduabuchi Adlen, also took turns to highlight the club’s achievements and prayed for continued unity and progress among members.

Speaking further, Hon. Mrs. Chinenye Okpalachukwu extolled the leadership qualities of the club’s founder, describing her as a source of inspiration to women across the state. She also urged guests to support the club’s coaster bus fundraising initiative to help expand its community development efforts.

Some guests, including the husband of the President, Mr. Aligwo, Mr. Ewerem Damien, and Mr. Nwaiyi Nelson, commended the Star Ladies Dynamic Club for promoting women’s empowerment and positive social change.

Highlights of the event included a cake-cutting ceremony, the official launch of the coaster bus fundraising campaign, presentation of awards to patrons and patronesses, and the Face of Star Ladies beauty competition.

The inaugural event was marked by glamour, laughter, and a shared vision to strengthen the club’s mission of empowering women and giving back to society.
